The Train & Carriages that were running through the site of the Big Pineapple from 1972 – 2010 needed to be refurbished to their original state from 1972, as the new owners of the Big Pineapple want to bring them back to their former glory and they must be refurbed to exactly as they were to keep the nostalgia from the era.

The challenge was that the green and yellow striped vinyl that was used to decorate the carriages back in 1972 is no longer available to purchase off the shelf. 

It was suggested that this could be achieved by having Mint Imaging design and replicate the exact stripe and colours and then print to the BL610 double sided PVC to achieve the scalloped edges that needed to have the stripes visible on the underside as well.

BL610 was chosen for its quality, weigh, strength and the fact it is double sided printable. Additionally, that we were also able to put him in direct contact with the printer to be able to successfully achieve what was required which in turn made the whole process a lot less daunting for him.
