The Royal Hotel requested a waterproof solution to cover their designated outdoor smoking area. They did not have any architectural plans or an existing building plan, therefore they wanted to work with a shade company who could design a solution that fit within all his parameters, and who could engineer, supply, and install the entire job.
What made this solution more complex was that the client needed to be able to open the structure for natural light during winter months and close the roof to maintain his patrons during inclement weather. The client also needed the solution to be completely automated.
We chose Bochini Tensile Structure Fabric – Type 0 for this project because it is 100% impermeable, translucent, and it is a very suitable fabric for a retractable roofing system.
